Almost all celebrities apply cosmetics–whether for skin care or beauty. Guys wearing black eyeliner are very common today on TV–this is a rock star thing that is getting more and more common. Some like David Beckham apply natural make up, and believe it or not, they do it everyday with the help of professionals. Others just get used to their star image and take it from the stage to their routine.
Whatever–men wearing make up seems to be becoming a trend.
But what I really wanted to focus on is something that I came across recently. And I have to admit, it’s a little weird.
Adam Lambert, the glam rock star who reached the peak of popularity in American Idol 2009, is about to launch his own line of male cosmetics.
This will be a line of cosmetics for men only.
Well, Adam’s passion towards decorative make up–especially smoky eyes with green and blue shades and glitter–is not news for anyone. But I guess very few expected him to take up the cosmetics business.
His entire line will include everything for proper make up–eyeshadow and eyeliners, foundation and powders, nail polish, blush, mascara and lip gloss–yes, mens lip gloss!
Lambert himself is openly gay, but he believes that make up is good for straight men as well, especially for those who like to experiment. Maybe he knows something that we don’t.
