The Nerdiest Pieces Of Clothing Black Milk Has To Offer

Black Milk is a strange brand to me. I like that they’re trying to appeal to geek culture by putting nerdy prints all over their clothes, but a lot of the time it comes off as very hipster-ish. You will likely remember their stylings from the R2D2 and C-3PO swimsuits they had before George Lucas shut them down, but they have a whole host of other geek prints that I’ve featured below.
Like, the R2 suit is one thing (and I’ve compiled a gallery of girls who bought it), but what sort of girl wears a dress with The One Ring from LOTR all over it? Someone trying really, really hard to be ironic, that’s who. But ah well, hipsters can have their fun I guess, and there’s no point in hating.
Check out this blonde Asian girl modeling a bunch of their other nerdy looks, and any hipster or legitimately cool ladies out there can head to their store to pick up anything they see here. Except the droid suits. Because George Lucas will kill and eat you.
Update: Guh Geekologie, I wrote this yesterday as a draft and now I look like a copycat since it went up today. Great minds I suppose… Plenty of blonde Asian girls to go around though.

One Last Look Back

One Last Look Back

I’m off to go see Harry Potter later today, which effectively ends the decade long relationship I’ve had with this series. It’s hard to think that I was just a kid when this all started, maybe a year older than Harry at the most. But now I’ve grown up, and he’s grown up, as has the rest of his gang as seen above. It’s hard to remember just how little they all were when this thing started, and even if the movies have flaws, I maintain that they were perfectly cast in almost every role.
I don’t really care if people give me shit for liking Harry Potter, though I do take offense to any comparisons that say it’s like being a Twilight fan. As Stephen King said “”Harry Potter is about confronting fears, finding inner strength, and doing the right thing in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend.” Not to mention that the writing disparity between JK Rowling in Stephanie Meyer is just lightyears wide.
I miss this series, and have since the last book was released. I like the films, but as I already know what’s going to happen, they’re never quite as exhilarating as the books were. It seems crazy to think you could be out of breath in anticipation turning the pages of a book, but that’s how I felt reading most of the series.
I hope the Potter-verse lives on in some form, and the Rowling perhaps decides to revisit it someday with more books. That will probably happen right after George Lucas makes episodes VII through IX, but I can dream can’t I?
So here’s to you Harry, thanks for being a part of my growing up.

The Fifteen Best Pictures Of Emma Watson

The Fifteen Best Pictures Of Emma Watson

I wasn’t going to do another one of these so soon, but I felt I had to jump on the Hogwarts Express before it fully left the station. One of the coolest things about the series was watching the young actors grow up before our eyes. They were all just kids when it started, but now they’re big and tall, and quite good looking.
Obviously one that’s caught our eye more than most has been Miss Hermoine Granger. She started off as a frizzy haired know-it-all, but grew up and the actress who plays her, Emma Watson, is now 21 and gorgeous. She’s classically beautiful in a way you don’t see often in Hollywood anymore, and I thought she was a prime candidate for our feature which has spotlighted the likes of Mila Kunis, Christina Hendricks and Olivia Wilde before. She has a far different look than any of them, but is still absolutely stunning in her own right.
So I’ve done the exceptionally taxing job of hunting through the internet to find the absolute best pictures of Emma Watson in existence. I’m happy with my finds, and hopefully you will be as well. Check out the gallery below:

A Cool (but Imaginary) Playstation 4 Concept

A Cool (but Imaginary) Playstation 4 Concept

Sony may claim that their next console is years away, but I have a hunch that next E3 we’ll at least be seeing some hint of the upcoming Playstation 4, which must be released lest it get left in the dust by WiiU and whatever Microsoft will end up premiering that claims to have “Avatar-like graphics.”
But until then, all we can do is speculate, and one digital artist decided to invent his own concept for the PS4. Over at Yanko Design, they’ve put together a brand new system that not only looks nice, but has some imaginary specs to boot:
The unit connects wirelessly to any DPConnect TV, detecting the appropriate screen resolution as well as identifying the audio output, all in under 4 milliseconds so it’s ready to roll directly after being removed from the box.
Other features include: -1.5TB HDD, Full 3D 4K2K compatible, DLNA, DPhdmi (HDMI Connect), 3D Blu-ray (Blu Ray “DEUCE” Compatible, 3 times more data than the classic blu ray disc), USB 3.0, DPConnect Bravia Sync, Qriocity, Sony Ericsson sync, Cloud Saving, live TV, and even applications for weather, widgets, Gamespot, news, and more!

A Roman Statue You Never Thought You'd See

A Roman Statue You Never Thought You'd See

Ah Rome, home of classic architecture and a whole host of famous statues in various states of undress and decay. It’s nice to see someone is trying to carry on the rich tradition of the area, but I doubt this is the sort of classical art the majority of the public would approve of.
This is a very real statue, spotted in Rome by a lucky traveler. It’s a scene from fan-made slash fiction novels that a whole host of strange nerds have longed to see over the years, but for the rest of us, it’s incredibly bizarre.
Will historians be digging through Rome 3,000 years from now and find this, and go “What he hell was wrong with people in the 21st century? Did everyone really dress like this?”

A Great Gallery Of Cosplay From Meagan Marie

A Great Gallery Of Cosplay From Meagan Marie

Now that Comic-Con has wrapped, chances are we’re going to see a lot of pictures of cool costumes pour forth. As I sift through all of those, one immediately caught my eye.
That would be Miss Meagan Marie, seen above in a rather amazing Anya costume from the upcoming Gears of War 3. She made it for the show, but stopped off for a few industrial themed photos before that.
I was curious to see what else she had in her catalog, and I discovered she’s done a whole host of amazing costumes from Borderlands to Aphrodite IX. Don’t see that every day. Check out her full gallery below.
