If practice makes perfect, the Royal Wedding should come off without a hitch.

Early Wednesday morning, about one thousand members of the British military ran through the wedding service, and their objective seemed clear: to safeguard bride Kate Middleton without obscuring the crowd's view of her come Friday's wedding day.

At 4 a.m. London time, a swarm of military officials descended upon Westminster Abbey, all preparing for the big day.

"There were hundreds and hundreds of mounted military, all on horseback," says Janelle Howell, who has been camping outside Westminster Abbey since Tuesday. "And then the cars and coaches came. Dozens of them. And people got out of each car and entered the church, just like the guests will. It was quite the spectacle."

London, April 13 – A ring worn by the late Princess Diana that was given to royal bride Kate Middleton is now being made smaller to fit her finger better.
Kate has asked jewellers to alter the ring ahead of her wedding to Prince William April 29, the Daily Mail reported.
The sapphire and diamond ring was worn by Diana, Princess of Wales.
Kate asked crown jewellers G. Collins and Sons to attach small platinum beads inside the bottom of the ring to make the band fit on her finger.
A palace source said the 29-year-old bride ‘adores’ the ring and ‘didn’t want to cause a fuss’. But she had found the band was turning on her finger.
‘A bride’s worst nightmare is looking down and seeing her ring has fallen off. One can only imagine how this is magnified when you are marrying the future King of England,’ the source said.
The ring, which was also Princess Diana’s engagement ring, is valued at 32 million pounds.
William gave the ring to Kate to ensure his late mother would still be part of their big day.

Even the characters played by the lead actors Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham were enthusiastically accepted by the movie going audience. Therefore when the talks about the sequel to the movie started doing the rounds; Priyanka was sure of a role in the movie along with John and Abhishek. The actress must have been shocked to know that she was not in Dostana 2, instead Katrina Kaif was going to share the screen space with John and Junior B.
Recenctly Piggy Chopps and Tarun Mansukhani were working together for an advertsisment shooting. The friendship between the two was very much evident during the shoot. Priyanka grabbed her chance during the shoot at Madh Island. She asked whether she is having a role in Dostana 2 and Tarun could only smile back. The actress it seems misread the meaning of the smile as she took it to be a positive indication. There must be reason for the director to replace the successful actress of his previous movie but so far it is beyond our imaginations too.

Role Swap For Abhishek Bachchan – Yet Again

Role Swap For Abhishek Bachchan – Yet Again

Mumbai, April 13 – Not many know it, but actor Abhishek Bachchan has for the second time taken on a role not originally meant for him.
The character of a cop in his upcoming film ‘Dum Maaro Dum’, directed by Rohan Sippy, was first supposed to be played by Telugu star Rana Daggubati.
‘When Rohan came to me with this film, he wanted me to play the role of DJ Joki, the role that Rana is playing now,’ Abhishek, who celebrated his 35th birthday in February, told IANS.
‘But when I read the script, I told him that I want to do ACP Vishnu Kamath’s role instead, because I felt I would be able to do that role better and Rohan agreed.’
‘I liked the attitude of this character. I liked the way he tackled situations in life and that’s the reason I did it,’ said Abhishek, who sports a gelled look in the film.
Earlier, when he was offered ‘Bluffmaster’ (2005), in which he co-starred with Riteish Deshmukh, he was to play some other role than the one he eventually did.
‘A similar thing happened during ‘Bluffmaster’. Originally, I was doing Riteish’s part and then we changed and I did the part that I finally did and we got Ritiesh for the part I was supposed to do initially,’ said Bachchan junior, who has spent over a decade in the industry.
There is another similarity between ‘Bluffmaster’ and ‘Dum Maaro Dum’. Abhishek has lent his voice for a song in ‘Dum…’ – again like ‘Bluffmaster’. The song is called ‘Thayan thayan’.
‘The idea to have a song in my voice in the film is something Rohan and I both came up with. There’s a scene in the film, which allowed for a song and we both decided why not do another song after ‘Bluffmaster’,’ said Abhishek, who began his career with J.P. Dutta’s ‘Refugee’ (2000).
‘But the challenge this time was that my character in this film is not the kind who will sing a song. This is a very intense character. In this the challenge was how do we justify this character coming up with a song,’ he said.
‘When Jaideep (Sahani) wrote the lyrics, we realised that we’ve got it bang on. The attitude was absolutely correct, it reflected and embodied what Assistant Commissioner of Police Kamath stands for. So, we went ahead with it,’ he added.
So did he have to brush up his singing skills? ‘I tried to, a little bit, but the credit should entirely go to Pritam (music director); he is the master mind,’ said the actor.
‘Dum Maaro Dum’, slated to hit screens April 22 and also starring Bipasha Basu and Prateik Babbar, is Abhishek’s third film with Rohan and the actor said he witnessed a marked change in the director while shooting for this film.
‘Rohan has changed immensely. As a person, he is still the same but he has changed immensely as a director. The amount of maturity and growth I have seen between ‘Bluffmaster’ and ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ is a lot more than I saw between ‘Kuch Na Kaho’ and ‘Bluffmaster’,’ said the actor.
‘Now he is very sure of what he needs to get out of an actor, whereas previously, he would give you a lot more leeway. But this time he was so sure about what he wanted and how to get it out. I think his confidence levels were soaring,’ said the actor who, apart from ‘Dum Maaro dum’, will also be seen this year in ‘Players’ and ‘Bol Bachchan’.
Abhishek gave his first commercial hit ‘Dhoom’ in 2005, five years after his debut. He shot to fame with four movies that did well commercially – ‘Bunty Aur Babli’, ‘Sarkar’, ‘Dus’ and ‘Bluffmaster’.
In 2007, the actor starred in ‘Guru’, receiving much acclaim for his performance, and the film emerged as his first solo hit. Later, he went on to do films like ‘Dostana’, ‘Delhi-6′ and ‘Paa’ among others.

Mallika Sherawat To Appear In An Item Song For Free

Mumbai, Apr 13: Popularity of item numbers seems to be one of the ongoing trends; whereby the choreographers and directors of Tinsel town are striking an easy rapport with their audience. So as to cash in on this recent enthusiasm for item songs the bold Bollywood beauty has ensured her a place in one.
Mallika Sherawat who shot to fame with her inspirational performance in Murder will shortly be seen in an item number. Anees Bazmee’s forthcoming release ‘Thank You’ will feature the outgoing actress in the company of Akshay Kumar and Bobby Deol. Incidentally, the ravishingly stylish Mallika enjoys the fame of featuring in an item number. “Guru” released in 2007 projected her in a similar number.
Mallika who had starred in Anees Baazmee’s ‘Welcome’ could taste much commercial success and critical acclaim by virtue of her role ‘Ishika’ in the same. Thereafter she is yet to taste any major successes in commercial terms. Her brief interaction in Hollywood together with her failures in a couple of Bollywood releases put the actress out of reckoning.
As a last resort to recover her lost glory the actress has teamed up with her lucky director Anees Baazmee to enact a number with the title ‘Raaziya’. It remains to be seen whether the said number which will be enacted free of cost achieves its desired purpose.

Rani Mukherjee Eager To Do A Raunchy Item Number

Rani Mukherjee Eager To Do A Raunchy Item Number

Despite not being an integral part of a film, the item numbers have established their popularity on account of their vibrancy in delineation. Mumbai, Apr 13: Ever since the success of ‘Kajra Re’ which was a part of the commercially successful “Bunty aur Bubbly”, every second film of the Tinsel town is throwing up a hot and piping item sequence.
If the latest buzz is to be accepted, the bubbly Bollywood heartthrob with an enormous fan following; Rani Mukherjee has also expressed her wish to be a part of one such item number. Apart from experimenting with the genre in vogue, her keenness for an item sequence may just be an attempt at highlighting herself in a different light. The actress is yet to find a suitable number which will display the best of her multifarious talents.
The actress who went in for bold portrayals in both ‘No one killed Jessica’ and ‘Dil Boley Hadippa’, won commendable reviews from all sections of audience including those of critics. In enacting a script close to reality in the currently released ‘No One killed Jessica’, Rani brings into focus all her acting prowess. Whether, she manages a suitable item number or not; very few in Bollywood will be equally talented to compete with her acting brilliance.

Salman Khan Refuses To Be A Bhai To Pretty Girls

Salman Khan Refuses To Be A Bhai To Pretty Girls

Mumbai, Apr13: If one has thought that Salman the eldest brother of Sohail and Arbaaz Khan has lost out his image of a Casanova to one of the younger guys in the film industry, then she is wrong. One of the bachelors of the industry endowed with a pair of dreamy eyes still insists on his eligibility as a charming someone, capable of winning over a dazzling damsel. Being the eldest of the five siblings and being a veteran in Bollywood, Salman Khan is popularly addressed as “bhai”. It seems Sallu wants to do away with the tag of brother or “bhai” when it comes to some special ones. Much to the anguish of the latest beaus, the special category includes the young and charming females.
In one of the reality shows featuring the ace actor, Salman made it abundantly clear that he did not want the young and gorgeous Sweta Tiwari to address him as brother. It was quite understandable why Salman did not want the glamour queen of the smaller screen to address him as thus.
Incidentally the actress who happened to be the winner of the concerned reality show had addressed the veteran as Salman bhai in one of its episodes. To the delight of the house and that of the cheering audience Salman clarified his point.

Ranvir Singh Goes Ga Ga About Anushka Sharma

Ranvir Singh Goes Ga Ga About Anushka Sharma

Anushka SharmaMumbai, Apr 13: The currently released Band Baaja Baraat of the famous Yash Raj brand was not only entertaining in its content, but also paved the way for a vibrant on screen compatibility. The on screen amalgam established between Ranvir and Anushka seems to hold great promises for the future.
The lively film which introduced the tall and lanky Ranveer Singh appears to have enchanted the audience with its refreshing touches in screenplay and acting. To go by the feedback of the cine goers the newly introduced Ranvir put up an amazingly matured performance. His gelling with the relatively experienced Anushka especially in the scenes depicting the bus journey has cast a magical spell on audience.
Curiously the vibes between the two is not merely an on screen prospect for they share good rapport and vibes beyond it also. In promotionals preceding and succeeding the release of BBB, the debutant was all praise for his co actor. Acknowledging the popularity and acclaim struck by their on screen pairing, Ranvir lauded the actress’s talent and generosity. While there is little to deny her talent, one wonders what could have attributed the tag of generosity to the chirpy Anushka.
To all intents and purpose viewers share the debutante’s desire for more such films featuring the two together.

The Canadian PM’s Wife Dances With Akshay Kumar

The Canadian PM’s Wife Dances With Akshay Kumar

Toronto, Apr 13: In a move typical of the brand ambassador of Canadian tourism in India, the renowned dancer and actor Akshay Kumar ensured that the screen taste of his forthcoming film ‘Thank You’ took place in Canada. The film directed by Anees Bazmee features Akshay as a detective investigating in both the countries, Canada and India. Consequently, the shooting of the film revolved around Canada.
The screening which was formally conducted in Brampton was witnessed by the Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his wife. Besides the Canadian Premiere and his better half, the theatre displayed an elite gathering of officials and dignitaries representing both the countries.
In course of the screening, the actor sporting a black casual and a pair of jeans was also seen dancing with Mrs. Harper. Wearing black leggings and a turquoise blue kurti with floral embroideries in white, Mrs. Harper gave the dancer a befitting company.
Akshay as a brand ambassador of tourism wants to contribute his own bit to the betterment of the diplomatic ties between the two countries. Incidentally, Stephen Harper who assumed power quite sometimes back in 2008 shares the similar sentiment. The film showcasing Akshay in the role of a detective with Indo- Canadian bias has provided an appropriate platform for harnessing peace and goodwill between both the nations.

Ranbir Kapoor Deaf-Mute But Happy-Go-Lucky In Barfee

Ranbir Kapoor Deaf-Mute But Happy-Go-Lucky In Barfee

Mumbai, April 13 – Though Ranbir Kapoor plays a deaf and mute man in Anurag Basu’s ‘Barfee’, his character would be no sad sack but a happy-go-lucky chap.
For some months, Anurag concentrated on instilling a positivity and laughter into the script before he began shooting and decided to make ‘Barfee’ a positive life-affirming film with plenty of humour, music, dancing and singing.
The title of the film was changed from the dark ‘Silence’ to the sweet-and-cute ‘Barfee’. The film will now have as many as 10-12 songs, although the hero doesn’t talk or speak.
Said a source: ‘Anurag Basu was earlier working simultaneously on his two Ranbir Kapoor projects ‘Barfee’ and ‘Kishore’ (the Kishore Kumar bio-pic) for UTV. In the past few months, he abandoned ‘Kishore’ to focus on altering and fine-tuning ‘Barfee’.’
‘Though Ranbir’s character of ‘Barfee’ cannot hear or speak, he will be shown to be a happy-go-lucky sod. He will be goofy and fun-loving, making others laugh while laughing at his own debilitating disabilities.’
In the film, Ranbir stars with Priyanka Chopra, who plays a mentally challenged girl.

Jewel Thief Hit To Feature In Ragini MMS

Ragini MMSNew Delhi, April 13 – The new age filmmakers’ love for retro songs seems to be getting stronger as the popular song ‘Raat akeli hai’ from 1971 hit ‘Jewel Thief’ will feature in Ekta Kapoor’s latest film ‘Ragini MMS’.
The track composed by late music composer S.D. Burman was picturised on yesteryears’ stars Dev Anand and Tanuja and was sung by Asha Bhosle.
However, unlike other filmmakers, Ekta has decided to feature the original track rather than a remixed version.
‘Some classic tunes should just not be touched. They should be enjoyed in their purest authentic form. ‘Raat akeli hai’ is sexy enough in its original form and goes very well with the mood of ‘Ragini MMS’,’ Ekta said in a statement.
Some of the new films featuring the remixed version of yesteryears’ songs are ‘Pyaar do pyaar lo’ in ‘Thank You’, ‘Dum maaro dum’ in Abhishek Bachchan-starrer ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ and ‘Laila o laila’ in Lara Dutta’s first production venture ‘Challo Dilli’.

Rushiraj Pawar Got Role In ‘Chandragupta Maurya’ By Chance

Rushiraj PawarVadodara, April 13: Mumbai teenager Rushiraj Pawar could never have imagined that losing his way to his grandparents’ house will actually turn out to be a blessing in disguise for him and launch his acting career.
The 13-year-old child actor actually bagged his lead role in Imagine TV’s period drama ‘Chandragupta Maurya’ by chance while he, along with his parents, was seeking directions from people to reach his grandparents’ house.
‘I was travelling with my parents and we were going to my grandparents’ new house when we lost our way. While we were asking for directions, my father saw that some kids of my age were reading scripts, so we realized that some auditions were on. On enquiry, my father came to know that it was for this show. So, we got interested too and gave an audition and got selected. It was such a nice experience,’ Rushiraj told IANS in an interview.
The Class 8 student of Oxford Public School in Mumbai, who plays the protagonist’s role in the show, revealed that he has learnt a lot about the ancient Indian king after being a part of the show.
‘I knew that Chanakya was the guru of Chandragupta Maurya, who was a very powerful ruler but when I started doing the show, I got to learn a lot about him. Now I know a lot about him and have much more information about his life than I had. Which I think is good,’ said Rushiraj, who also acted in Marathi film ‘Manya: The Wonder Boy’ that released in January.
The child actor works for almost 12 hours on days he shoots, which is almost 20-25 days a month, and still finds time to study.
‘I shoot whenever there is my scene. But approximately 20-25 days a month, I shoot for the show. Twelve hours maximum. The people behind the show really take good care of me. They give me all the facilities – glucose drink after the shot, umbrella in the sun. So I enjoy the shoot, even if it’s in the sun. They care so much that it doesn’t seem difficult and becomes a nice experience,’ said the actor.
‘The production house has given a letter to my school and on the basis of that they have promoted me. I didn’t have to give my exams. The school is being very cooperative,’ he added.
Rushiraj, the only child of a photographer father and a homemaker mother, said despite his acting career his friends treated him the way they did earlier.
‘There has been no change in the behaviour of my friends and schoolmates. It’s just that they are very happy for me. They are proud of me. But they still treat me as a friend like they used to,’ he said.
And finally isn’t it challenging to essay the role of such a great historical figure?
‘There is no pressure but yes it’s challenging at times. I feel nervous because it’s a big show. But I manage,’ said the actor, who wants to grow up and pursue an acting career.
