Paula Abdul's Driveway Lawsuit Ends With $1 Million Settlement
Paula Abdul has decided to pay $900,000 to a lady who experienced a bad tumble during the shooting of the former National Idol idol judges temporary actuality TV sequence Hey Paula.
The incident took place in 2007 and the suit was submitted last year after June Kohl stated she had to go through several back treatments as due to from her drop.
Not only did Paula Abdul accept pay that enormous sum, Hey Paula generation organization Scott Sternberg Shows has decided to place in an additional $100,000 for a complete $1 thousand pay day loan.
A test time frame was set for Feb. 14 but Kohl’s lawyer John Rodriguez Clayton was able to agent a deal before that took place. According to the performers group it was Abdul’s insurance provider that took the cause in negotiating the situation. According to lawyer Vicki Greco:
“Absolutely no charges of the arrangement will get paid by Paula Abdul. All charges decided to get paid to June Kohl as part of the arrangement will be financed by the parties’ specific insurance companies. While a arrangement was achieved between the events in the situation, we were assured that she would overcome at test. The choice to negotiate the situation was a business choice made just by Ms. Abdul’s insurance organization.”
It’s a small win for Paula Abdul, then again it has not quite been her year with Simon Cowell shooting her from the X Element along with musician Nicole Scherzinger.
The suit arrangement seemed to be the last thing on Paula Abdul’s mind last night when she tweeted:
“Having a fun time on @RoyalCaribbean Retreat of the Waters this weeks time :) ) so many awesome things to do & a lot of sunshine!!”
Are you amazed by the $1 thousand settlement? I’m mostly amazed that it took more than two years to arrive at this point.
