Jedward’s 2.85m Pounds Is Biggest Annual Pay Cheque In X Factor History

London, Apr 13: Irish twins John and Edward Grimes have managed to rake in 2.85 million pounds in the past year, making it the biggest annual pay cheque in X Factor history.
Jedward, 19, earned the amount through gigs, personal appearances, endorsements and lucrative ad deals.
The duo, who finished sixth in 2009’s X Factor, made 500,000 pounds promoting computer game firm Nintendo alone.
Other cheques came from price comparison site Moneysupermarket, kids’ cereal Coco Pops and drinks giant Britvic.
The boys, who are managed by X Factor judge Louis Walsh, made another 50,000 pounds on April 12 for just a few hours work on new ITV game show ‘Sing If You Can’.
“The Jeds are making millions. Louis reckons Jedward have made more money in a year than any other X Factor act,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.
“They’ve done more adverts, endorsements and gigs than all the other contestants combined. In the past year their earnings topped 3.2 million euros,” the source added,
Jedward regularly play Jewish bar mitzvahs, earning 25,000 pounds a gig, and prices for a three-song private set start at around 10,000 pounds.
